The incident was captured on video on the mobile phone of Branden Adams who was visiting the zoo.

The woman was taken into police custody where she revealed she was suffering from mental problems, according to the report.
She admitted that she had not taken her medications, authorities told the LA Times.
She was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Zoo officials told the LA Times that they felt the barriers surrounding the recently extended elephant exhibit were sufficient to protect the animals and visitors.
